Review of We Were Soldiers (2002) by Lee G — 21 Dec 2008
There are few war films that put the focus on officers, let alone a high ranking one as in this film. It's difficult to manage a battle of this level (US Batallion against a Viet's division) but We Were Soldiers tactfully juggles it.
The additional potrayal of the wives of officers were welcomed, given the fact that officers are typically the first to die in combat. Excellent cast (especially Sam Elliott!).
