My favorite "based on a true story" movie. If ever there was a "war movie" that was a "chick flick", this one is it. You will especially want to watch the deleted scenes..
. especially the church scene. Gibson's "boot" was well done... It effects me deeply. Sam Elliot does an outstanding job as a no nonsense Sargeant. Greg Kinnear also did an outstanding job - Trivia: Kinnear was born in Logansport, IN!! Kinnear's charcter, Snake____ was a Medal of Honor winner.
Another Medal of Honor winner portrayed in the film was, Ed "Too Tall" Freeman.
