Review of We Were Soldiers (2002) by Shea W — 19 Jan 2009
This is a good movie no doubt. But it's not really groundbreaking or providing any unique perspectives on war. After being stacked after Saving Private Ryan my expectancy bar has been heightened. Gibson is solid and the direction is on par with everything else.
Also I love Sam Elliot's character who reminds me of an angry senile grandfather. But overall it was just okay I suppose.
