Review of We Were Soldiers (2002) by Judge L — 06 Nov 2010
In comparison to 'Saving Private Ryan' this movie goes mainly at the heartstrings and an emotional approach with some grit and realism added. The character of Col. Moore is almost blessed by God as he anticipates the enemies moves, stands in the heat of battle among bullet fire and holds together with his group throughout the campaign.
His wife takes it on board to deliver the telegrams. Barry Pepper ( the sniper in the above mentioned movie) plays a reporter/journalist character taking down the scenes and realism of war.
