Fantastic Vietnam war film. It has a terrific cast and the battle scenes and effects are phenomenal. Seriously - action filmmakers these days need to watch this and realize that practical effects will always look better than CGI.
The film is based on a true story - the first major battle in the war, but the story-telling in the film isn't the best. Don't get me wrong, it's still very engaging, but it doesn't really say anything.
But hey, maybe that's the point.
