Review of We Were Soldiers (2002) by Liew J — 27 Mar 2009

It is quite hard to define whether this movie is good or not.

Personally I think this is a nice movie, but not great enough.

The war scene is manage well...

The characters are all clearly portrayed, but weak structured in the plot.

The first half an hour of the movie is quite draggy,many scenes are boring and unnecesary.

The war scene is not bad,you can really feel the battle.

But the direction of the movie is unclear. Audiences do not know what to expect, and why are they watching this movie.

Is that because they just want to enjoy the war scene?or are they looking forward to a great story?

I mean, I was like....waiting Mel Gibson to go home to hug his family....nothing sensational...

I don't even know what to expect in the ending.

Anyway, Barry Pepper add color to the movie, another good supporting character acted by him!!!
