Review of We Were Here (2011) by Neville K — 13 Sep 2011
A stripped-down and devastating documentary that is not easy to watch but is essential viewing for anyone alive today who wants to see a wholly different, and wholly remarkable take on the early days of the AIDS epidemic in America.
At the same time, this is a story of how compassion, hope and love carried us over and out of mere fear and hysteria as human beings during a very dark, very scary time.
