A deftly crafted, exquisitely shot cop drama imbued with a surprising amount of heart and tension. It also boasts the best and most inventive car chase I've seen in years, achieved with the use of clever sound design and brilliant cinematography that keeps the POV startlingly and effectively intimate.
For all its flaws, it's a true work of craftsmanship.
