Review of We Own the Night (2007) by Jaime-The Revolutionary Artist? — 12 Dec 2008
I struggled with this review because I'm not sure if it 'worked' or not. There are genuinely brilliant scenes, the cast superb. It does convey that grey area between cops and robbers powerfully well. Maybe ' The Departed' did this movie first and beat them to it.
Did it do it better? I don't know. This deserves to be seen though. You decide.
