Review of We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) by Gaspar O — 30 Jul 2012
I don't like to work too hard on watching a film, but I'm willing to if there's a worthwhile reward. This was intentionally and unnecessarily confusing, a failure in fragmenting and the only reward was wondering why I just wasted two hours of my life.
The first 15 or 20 minutes were excruciating, but it did pick up a little. A little. I did somewhat enjoy the mystery and darkness of the psycho kid, and I thought his performance was OK, but mostly I was frustrated that Reilly, one of my favorites, would associate himself with such swill.
We don't need to talk about Kevin, we need to talk about why so many people liked this piece of crap.
