Review of We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) by Reid V — 06 Aug 2012
To say this is a 'domestic horror' is to rob the film of it's true nature. In fact, the heart of the film lies in the almost taboo subject of what happens when a mother feels indifference to her first born child and the consequences that arise within the family unit.
Disturbingly honest, carefully crafted and with shattering performances from both Swinton and Miller, this shoots right to top of my best films of 2011 list.
