Review of We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) by Nik M — 14 Jan 2013
Deep subject matter, not treated as a cliche horror flick. Quite shocking and feels real. Reminds me of "A Clock Work Orange" because of the character with no empathy. And at the same time different to Kubrick's essence in story telling.
The feeling was that of the likes of a Lars Von Trier film. This is the first work I have seen of Lynne Ramsay. For me it's a film. There is a difference between a movie and a film. Not for the faint of heart.
