Review of We Live in Public (2009) by Brad P — 04 Nov 2010
I went back and re-watched this after hearing director Ondi Timoner speak in Edinboro. It's a compelling, beautifully edited documentary about internet pioneer Josh Harris, whose performance art/social experiments seemed to border on insanity in the late 90s but accurately predicted the erosion of privacy that the internet would come to cause.
A sometimes graphic, sometimes psychologically disturbing, always fascinating study of narcissism and voyeurism in the too-much-information age. Highly recommended.
