Review of We Have a Pope (2011) by Paulina A — 04 Apr 2012
The tomatometer of this movie is further proof that most american reviewers aren't simply doing their job. This gem works on many levels, and while looking candid and gentle in the surface it offers many delights for anyone caring to actually analyze the things going on screen.
A triumph by Moretti, and a big slap in the face (for blatant lazyness or ignorancy) to most people that reviewed the film. And it ain't the first time... another 2 spectacularly good european films had the same, Javier Fesser's Camino and Isabel Coixet's My Life Without Me.
There's a reason why these films triumph in Europe and get trashed in America, don't you think?
