Review of We Don't Live Here Anymore (2004) by Stephanie S — 05 Sep 2008
I'm typically fascinated by films that examine relationships...what keeps people together, what tears them apart. So with that said, I've never really watched a story quite like this. The infidelity is tragic, and the varying despair found in each character's life is disheartening.
You see different levels/types of emotional pain, and the fulcrum of those situations/feelings. It just makes me wonder about life...so I found it intriguing... The pace is serious and slow - it's very much strictly drama (which is Ruffalo's usual cup of tea), and I know it's not something everyone will appreciate - but it's good.
