This is a case of a movie not being sure about what it really is. What exactly was the plot? Was it a romantic comedy about a hack who became a zoo owner? Was it about a troubled teenager? Was it a drama over a man mourning the loss of his wife? The movie changed too much and couldn't focus on one theme.
Everything was completely predictible and just dragged on without causing you to care about any of the characters. Cheesily written script. Way beneath the acting acumen of Matt Damon.
