Critics have a hate on for Cameron Crowe right now, but I enjoyed this film. It was nothing but pleasant. Heartbreakingly, it's more than a little evident that Crowe made this film in response to his divorce... That sadness definitely shows here, but the film is also extremely therapeutic. Plus, cute animals. Who doesn't love animals?
Crowe's easing back into filmmaking here and the people holding him up to his prior work need a seriously reality check. =).
