I tried my best, but no I couldn't finish it. bearing in mind I didn't know this was based on a true story at the time, I thought it was generic and full of all the sympathy-seeking cliches. I felt like it was trying desperately to appeal to everyone.
fair enough, many many movies try to do this, but with this movie there were scenes of such sappiness that only a small child would not roll their eyes, and other scenes which seemed much too adult for a child to enjoy.
ultimately it was the slow moving, uninteresting plot line that made me stop. it sounds like an exciting thing to have happened in real life definitely, but I guess it was just the wrong true story to make into a whole movie.
