Review of We Are Your Friends (2015) by Jericho B — 30 Nov 2015
This movie has shallow, cheap reviews. Uninterested people thinking more about what's wrong then how they felt watching it, which is how you can tell they paid little attention to the movie. Was WAYF some revolutionary movie that will make everyone drop everything and become someone new? Probably not, probably not everyone but maybe a few.
This movie represented listening and not just taking what you have but getting what you always wanted. It gives you a realistic story, sharing that life is indeed hard for us all. You can holler about technicalities and use fancy movie critic critiques, but at the end of the day the movie was good.
It put just a taste of invincibility in my blood and so beautifully portrayed all we could hear if we'd listen. I'm not going to quit my life to become a DJ but that wasn't the point, I think what we're supposed to take away from We Are Your Friends is that we let ourselves get lost and we forget to listen.
Let's not do that.
