The best thing going for this movie was it's wonderful portrayal of Southern California and all the intricacies of it's vivid culture, lifestyles, and tiered class demographics. California really is a different world.
The plot, acting, and music were all less than desireable. However, by the end of the film I felt emotionally closer to California than before.
