Review of We Are What We Are (2013) by Drago? C — 28 Sep 2013
A powerful, tasteful (sorry...) cannibal horror movie, the remake of We are what we are is a very good though sometimes excessively dramatic piece about family ties, coping with life and eating your neighbours.
The acting is absolutely great, the camerawork is ostensively 'arthouse', with long lingering shots accompanied by brooding, eerie music and the slow pacing works to the benefit of this creepy, drama-infused horror.
More Winter's Bone than The Hills have eyes, We are what we are is an interesting movie well worth watching.
