Review of We Are What We Are (2013) by Daniel S — 20 Jul 2014
I just saw Mickle's Cold in July in theaters last month, which I loved, so I checked out his film from last year, and this was just as great, it's such a dark, depressing tragic tale, with almost no hope at all for anyone, he takes what could have been a cheap horror concept and turns it into a compelling drama, it works on one part as a mystery, and then at the end becomes a suspenseful thriller, all the acting is great, sage, parks, mcgillis, the 2 girls, while it may leave you unsettled, it's still very well made, and will definitely stay with you for a while.
