Review of We Are What We Are (2010) by Phil N — 23 Sep 2010
Hoping to replicate what Let The Right One In did for vampire films, We Are What We Are attempts to bring arthouse sensibilities to a story of a cannibal family living in Mexico. When their father dies, who will take up the role of providing food for the rest of the family? Despite a promising start and an intriguing set up, the film is achingly slow and by the time anything actually happens youâ??re past caring.
