Review of We Are What We Are (2010) by Kelsey P — 17 Jan 2011
17.1.2011.
The first two scenes are the best. The beginning of the film is slow - there's time to contemplate, but nothing to contemplate. The characters are shallow, so there's no suspense. Sexuality, religious rituals and cannibalism never build up in an interesting way or to a satisfying conclusion. I found it disappointing both as a horror film and as a arthouse feature.
