Review of We Are What We Are (2010) by Aidan H — 21 Jun 2011
Family drama and social commentary: men began to feed men, and the main characters are not supernatural cannibals. They are helpless individuals who have no choice, but deceiving, killing, eating someone.
The policemen are also worn down, and the family is hunting prostitutes, gay boys. Everything is dirty, gritty, demoralisation is the only thing. As a social allegory it's powerful when you see the opening: a homeless old man dies in front of a mall, some people bring him over, like a trash and life goes on.
