Review of We Are Marshall (2006) by Tom B — 28 Nov 2011
A very tragic story, that was worthy of being made into a film. McConaughy is a very entertaining character but the film flirts with cheesy sports cliches a little too much. The opening is original and powerful, and the film deals with themes not common in sports films.
If the direction were a little braver and didn't dive for the heartstrings at every chance, this could have been a great film.
