Seriously, you can put me in front of any sports movie and I'll be riveted. But I actually do think this was a good film. McConaughey's charisma lights up the screen. Matthew Fox did his typical role of being overly serious, but it fit well with the content of the film.
The story being a true one makes this tug even more strongly at your heartstrings. Unlike most sports movies, there's not a ton of action sequences, but when there are ones they are shot well with a perfect level of suspense and tension.
