Review of We Are Marshall (2006) by Michael C — 02 Dec 2009

Based on the true story of the 1970 plane crash that claimed the lives of most of the Marshall football team and the pain and anguish it took to revive the program and unite the town, this is a solid film despite some underdeveloped characters going through the cliched sports movie motions as well as Matthew McConaughey and Matthew Fox seemingly being in two completely different movies, and this is also a great example of an excellent story being reduced to a merely above average movie because of the lacking talents of the director (McG).
