Review of We Are Marshall (2006) by Thaddeus R — 30 Dec 2009
This was a good sports movie...one with more serious subject matter than most, and I think the film does a good job of communicating how significant an event this was. I especially liked Matthew McConaughey's portrayal of the coach, nicely expressing how difficult it must have been for an outsider to come into the situation.
I am not familiar with how accurate the movie is compared to the real event, but I did appreciate that they showed pictures of the actors and their real-life counterparts during the credits.
