Review of We Are Family (2012) by Priyanka G — 30 Oct 2010

Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, this movie is based on the story plot "Stepmom", and reunites actresses Kajol and Kareena Kapoor (who both give stunning performances). This movie gives a different, and highly interesting depiction of two individuals who are brought together to bridge a significant role in a family. Unlike the American version, this gives a 360 degree outlook on each character?s perspective and thoughts upon the choices that they make, and have endured. Maya is a divorced, and devoted, mother of three children. Her ex-husband Aman is a photographer, and shares familial responsibilities with Maya. He begins seeing Shreya, an up and rising fashion designer, and wants to introduce her to his children. Stricken with a terminal illness, Maya confides in Shreya and asks for her support that would ensure the future and safety of her children and family.

Great cast- Kajol, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Nominath Ginsberg, Aachal Munjal, and Diya Sonecha. Worth seeing!
