This turned out to be a lot better than expected. This is an interesting time in history, and it was visually well-portrayed and believable. Madonna does a great job drawing the parallels between what happened then and what her modern protagonist is experiencing.
This is a film definitely told through a woman's perspective, but well done! I also really enjoyed the original score and use of music throughout the film. I was prepared to laugh and snicker, but credit should be given where credit is due.
