Review of Wayne's World (1992) by Keenan S — 28 Oct 2013
Before ruining their careers a decade later (The Master Of Disguise - Dana Carvey, The Cat In The Hat and The Love Guru - Mike Myers), Mike Myers and Dana Carvey appeared in the quintessential 90's comedy Wayne's World.
I had never seen it before until recently and I'm glad I did, because it proves to still be a very funny film that constantly breaks the fourth wall and is balls-to-the-wall ridiculous in every possible way.
The film is bolstered by the great performances, hilarious humor, and bizarre setup. It's a constantly energetic film that is a great example of doing a stupid comedy well since it is so well made and the fact that it embraces its goofy nature so fervently.
It definitely deserves to be known for its cult classic status. If you enjoy a good comedy and are willing to take a taste of the 90's, there are few films that represent the era so well. Now I must obtain the sequel and watch it!
