Review of Wayne's World (1992) by Steven P — 29 Jun 2010
A watershed moment for Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, and a truly funny rock-and-roll comedy.
No target is safe from this adaptation of the SNL sketch-not guitars, not "Stairway to Heaven", not Star Trek, not even the issue of product placement.
Along with the first Blues Brothers, this is one of the funniest SNL film that its sequel and recent adaptations such as MacGruber have been unable to match with critics and audiences. Wayne's World gets 87 plays of "Bohemian Rhapsody" out of 100.
