Review of Wayne's World (1992) by Liam D — 14 Dec 2011
Wayne's World is a incredibly predictable comedy derived from a sketch first seen on Saturday Night Live. Whilst it's a funny film, it isn't as funny as its cult status would lead you to believe.
Wayne's World could be seen as a film made up of dozens of individual skits pulled along by a paper thin plot. The character of Garth could have been written better so his influence in the film isn't as limited.
But saying that, it's very enjoyable and there are plenty of laughs, notably the Terminator parody. Funny but there are much better comedies out there.
