Review of Waterworld (1995) by Paul R — 11 Nov 2009
Kevin Costner's ham-fisted performance leads his directorial "achievement" that is now infamously called one of the "best worst movies ever made". The futile "plot" never really catches on with the viewer, and the action is every bit as corny and dull as can possibly be.
Laughably inept in terms of delivery (Costner really thought this plot could be taken seriously?) and moviegoing fulfillment, "Waterworld" drowns in its own absurdity.
