A nicely done adventure flick with many nice sequences and a decent plot but really overdone, needless for the whole No dry land setting and the pretty unneccesary human fish thing that makes the hero look tacky.
I like Dennis Hopper portrayal of a wacky, funny, mad, crazy eye patched human being who seems so disgusting yet it works. I like some of the created modles they have the boat models were visually nice.
The ending was quite poor which kinda lets this down. Its not as bad as people think but I can understand why the comments are made. Some of the stuff were pointless.
