Review of Waterworld (1995) by Chris H — 13 Jul 2011
I don't get why everyone hates this. It's a nice premise, it has some really lush underwater and above the sruface settings. Hopper is a good villain. It's all set in a well-realised dystopia, where such things as soil have become valued, due to their scarcity.
It makes sense that evolution would account for the planet being almost entirely water, hence Costner's gills and such. And the big fish scene scares me, as water monsters are my biggest fear. A good film.
