Review of Watership Down (1978) by Kellie H — 30 Jun 2008
Sweet old school animation against backdrop of really lovely watercolor scenery. Important storyline and still timely for today's environmental concerns--involving the evils of urban development and deforestation.
Although it's a cartoon, I wouldn't recommend this for children--it depicts a cold bunny-eat-bunny world (and everything-else-eat-bunny world too). The gorgeous Art Garfunkel song in the middle made my eyes water.
SAD ending.
