I saw this as a child, and I loved it. Sure, it may be targeted more to an adult audience, but it inspired early on a sensitivity for all creatures that has followed me into adulthood. No replacement for reading the great novel by Richard Adams, but this still remains for me the best animated adaptation of a classic novel ever.
