Review of Water Lilies (2007) by Gabe E — 24 Nov 2008
Much the same as, Like Grains of Sand, this is a subdued story about homosexuality. Only this time it's about the other sex, and it's French. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as Like Grains of Sand and I'm not sure why.
Maybe it's because it seemed like the plot was having the girls trying far too hard to find their sexuality. Marie's character was a little creepy in her ways, but kept things in check. The other two were trying so hard it felt out of place.
