Review of Water for Elephants (2011) by Jaret J — 10 Sep 2012
Christopher Waltz is good, very good at being evil. And he brings the evil here. Reese Witherspoon caught my attention with Election and made me a believer in Walk the Line. Robert Pattinson proves he is more than just the brooding eye fucker from Twilight, and I really want to like him because he seems like genuinely nice guy.
He was alright in this. I love the behind the scenes comradie the circus folk have. And I loved the Rosie the Elephant. Not saying Elephant is my favorite animal, that would be a tiger, but no animal inspires me with such awe.
It's humbling to see them in person, they are just huge, beautiful and incredibly intelligent. I liked this much more than I thought I would. The love story is so so, but the stuff surrounding it, is fantastic.
