Review of Water for Elephants (2011) by Jesse U — 01 May 2012
This movie already had 2 strikes against it. #1-Its a love story. #2-It stars Robert Pattinson. So my expectations for this movie was already low. Needless to say, the movie was not as bad as I thought it would be.
No, I still hated Robert Pattinson in this movie and him and Reese Witherspoon do not make a believable couple at all. The only reason I liked this movie a little bit was because of Christoph Waltz. He is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors.
He was a great bad guy in Inglorious Basterds and hes a great bad guy in this movie! The scene with him and Rosie the Elephant in the train makes you want to reach in your tv screen and choke the guy out! The scene is pretty disturbing and makes you hate the guy after.
Besides him in this movie, theres not alot to see. Its a typical romance movie. So if you like those kind of movies, youll like this one. If youre like me and dont particularly like those kind of movies, pass on watching it.
