Review of Water for Elephants (2011) by Aj R — 08 Jun 2012
Lets get one thing straight. I am not a romance movie gal. I don't read romance novels. When you get down to it, I love a good horror/action flick over this kind of stuff. However, being a major lover of novels, this book was recommended to me which I read and feel in love with.
When I realize that Christoph Waltz was going to be in this, I couldn't wait. Despite lack in height compared to Pattinson, he manages to gain height with that cynical smile and wit. The story is wonderfully told, the characters are amazing, and the elephant is darling.
It also offers a wonderful look into the world of the Depression, and in doing so, accomplishes a lot. I loved this movie, and it tops my romantic/semi-chick flick list. It also restored my respect for Robert Pattinson after the terribleness of the Twilight saga.
