Rosie the elephant steals the show. Christopher Waltz's performance makes you hate him and almost feel sorry for his obvious mental problems at the same time, which is quite a feat. One can see why he is an Academy Award winner, although this role is even more many faceted than the one which won him his Oscar, in my opinion.
