Review of Water for Elephants (2011) by Anthony L — 04 Jan 2012
I was so suprised when I watched this movie. From the time when the first trailer came out, i've wanted to see this film but when it came out in theaters, the reviews weren't that good. I haven't seen the movie until now and when I watched it, I expected a boring romance.
I was so suprised and pleased to find out that this movie is actually good. Robert Pattinson gives a performance that beats any of his other ones . Reese Witherspoon and Cristopher Waltz give great performances.
The costumes were great and the script was decent. Now you may be wondering why I only gave it 80%. It's because I found the plot sometimes unbelievable. Why would a kid drop out of Veterinary drop out because his parents died? What would his parents want for him? Also the scene where Jacob is going to stab August, it is very unbelievable that even a drunk man would not hear someone approaching him and then leaving the room.
But despite some of the bad things, there are many good things about this film. I definitely recommend it.
