Review of Water (2014) by Tata R — 15 Sep 2007
This film is amazing. I have not cried in a film this much since I saw Turles Can Fly. Very moving and powerful story and performances. I highly recommend watching this film. This film makes one reevaluate the cultural conflicts between tradition and the growth of new ideas set against the rising of Ghandi and his ideals.
This film leaves you stunned. Sarla (Chuyia) is one of the best child actors by far that I have seen. This film is chilling. Also, the music is very pretty and selected very well. This film opens ones eyes to a relatively undiscussed realm of poverty and the struggles of women.
