Review of Water (2014) by Deepa J — 26 Jul 2008
Water made an impact, both the subject and the off-screen struggles surrounding it. I am uncertain if I should be proud of the progress we've made around shattering some of the blind beliefs and atrocities committed under the veil of religion or embarrased by the history of my people, and more so that an objective examination and portrayal of this abuse was still deemed "irreligious" in a nation that spews forth a generous supply of liberal thinkers.
