I like foreign films because it show you a world you're not used to seeing, but sometimes it shows you a world you wish you hadn't. Story of 3 women, one a 7 year old child. She is married, and widowed without really knowing it. She's sent to a widow's home and forced to live there. She befriends another woman who falls in love with a man and is proposed to by him. The 3rd woman cares deeply for the child. Very good movie.

Try to watch it with the director talking over it, because it explains so much more. She had to overcome so much to just get it done.
