Review of Water (2005) by Ben T — 20 May 2008
A moving story of forbidden love set against the back drop of the changing times in 1930's India. Hypocrisy, tradition and faith are the core themes explored in this beautifully acted film. The film is the third installment of the 'Elements' trilogy by Mehta, preceded by Fire (1996) and Earth (1998), both worth watching.
FYI, don't bother watching this in English.
