Review of Watchmen (2009) by Sean P — 08 Feb 2014
Overall I thought it was a great adaptation of the graphic novel. Two complaints:
1) As a student of international relations, I didn't understand why they chose the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan as the event that would bring the world to the brink of nuclear war, when that was not the case in real life. So I found that whole crisis hard to believe.
2) The movie seemed to lose steam the last 45 minutes or so. They could have made it a bit shorter.
